Yankton Youth Soccer Spring Information
Registration for the Spring 2012 Season will be from February 2 through February 29th, any registrations received after February 29th will be charges a $10 late fee. This season the YYSA Board has decided to go paperless so the only registration option will be online. Register now by clicking here.
If you have forgotten your password you need to contact League One on the registration page to retrieve your password information.
Remember that all HS players must register for the Spring Season if they want to play in the Spring. If you are unsure whether you registered for both seasons you can contact Betty Bray at bettybray@me.com to find out.
Spring Soccer Registration at Winter Festival
Walk-In Registration will be available for Spring Soccer during the Healthy Yankton Winter Festival at the Summit Activities Center on Saturday, February 18th from 9am - 1pm. Payment must be made at the time of registration.
NEW REFEREE COURSE IN MARCH
YYSA/VYSL will hold a new referee course in March. The first day will be in Yankton at the Summit Activities Center Classrooms on Sunday March 11 beginning at 11:00. The second day will be on Saturday March 17 in Vermillion at the Lee Medical School Building Room 107 beginning at 8:00 AM. Each day is 8 hours in length. Re-certifying referees of any current grade may attend 4 hours of either day to
re-certify at their current grade. New referees and any current Grade 9 (blue patch) referees that desire to bridge to grade 8 referees must attend both days of the course. Upon successful completion of the course these attendees will be certified as Grade 8 referees.
Costs to the attendees under age 18
(payable to Yankton Youth Soccer Association) are:
$50 for re-certifying grade 9 referees, new referee attendees, grade 9 referees bridging to grade 8, and grade 8 referees that are
re-certifying, $55 for re-certifying grade 7 referees, and $85 for
re-certifying grade 6 referees. If the attendee is over 18 years of age please add $5 to each of the previous amounts to cover the mandated background check.
All attendees must pre-register by emailing Kevin Bray at dockbb@me.com by March 5 so we can order an adequate amount instructional materials. Please let me know if you are a new referee (never have been previously certified) or are a grade 9 upgrading to grade 8, or if you plan to re-certify at your present grade and what day you plan to attend.
Board Game Fundraiser
The Yankton Youth Soccer Association is selling Hometown USA board games for $25 ($10 goes to YYSA). Currently the games are available at the Scrapbook Store, Royal Sport Shop, or by calling Deb Lillie at 661-1296. All proceeds from the sale will go towards supporting the recreational soccer program in Yankton.
The Yankton Youth Soccer organization is an all volunteer organization that serves the youth of Yankton and the surrounding area. The public is encouraged to become involved. Contact Jason Winterringer at 65scout80@gmail.com.
